Gold Prices Take a Dip: Fine Gold Drops by Rs. 900 Per Tola, Silver Gain Rs. 20
The fine gold market has experienced a significant shift with prices falling by Rs. 900 per tola.
According to the latest report from the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of fine gold is now Rs. 149,600 per tola, marking a Rs. 900 decrease from the previous closing rate of Rs. 150,500 per tola.
Tejabi gold has also seen a reduction, with its new price set at Rs. 148,900 per tola, down Rs. 900 from the previous day’s closing price of Rs. 149,800 per tola.
This drop comes after a peak on August 13, 2024, when fine gold reached a record high of Rs. 150,800 per tola.
In contrast, silver prices have increased slightly by Rs. 20 per tola, now standing at Rs. 1,760 per tola, up from Rs. 1,740 per tola yesterday.
Both domestic and international markets are reflecting this downward trend in gold prices. On the global front, gold is currently priced at $2,454.00 per ounce, while silver continues to rise, with its price reaching $28.10 per ounce.
