Gold Soars to Record High in Nepal: Price Hits Astounding Rs. 197,900 per Tola

The price of gold in Nepal continues its upward momentum, setting a new all-time high in the domestic market.
As reported by the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the rate of fine gold soared by Rs. 6,900 on Tuesday alone, reaching a record-breaking Rs. 197,900 per tola.
This marks a significant leap from the earlier price of Rs. 191,000 per tola, surpassing the previous peak recorded on April 22, 2025.
Tejabi gold, which is widely favored by consumers, also experienced a notable rise, climbing to Rs. 197,200 per tola from Rs. 190,300.
The upward trend also extends to silver, which edged up by Rs. 10 per tola. Silver is now trading at Rs. 1,970 per tola, compared to the previous Rs. 1,960.
