Good News for Nepalese Working Abroad, Nepal Rastra Bank To Issue "Foreign Employment Saving Bond 2084 Ka" From Falgun 14

Nepal Rastra Bank will be issuing "Foreign Employment Saving Bond 2084 Ka" worth Rs 50 crore from 14th Falgun to 3rd Chaitra, 2079. The foreign employment bond is targeted at Nepali migrant workers and non-resident Nepalese (NRNs) across the globe. This is a government bond issued by NRB on behalf of the government of Nepal. The bond will mature on 2084 BS, i.e 5 years from now.
Interested investors can file for bonds worth a minimum of Rs 10,000 and maximum bonds worth an amount not exceeding the size of the total issue and divisible by 10,000 without remainder. The bond is offered at a very attractive interest rate of 12.50 percent per annum. The payout of the interest amount will be done every six months. Investors can use this bond as collateral to take loans from banks and financial institutions other than Nepal Rastra Bank itself.
The issue date is on Chaitra 03, meaning interest will be counted from that day.
