Government Announces Budget of Rs. 18 Kharba 60 Arba for Fiscal Year 2081/82 (Full Budget Speech)
The government has designated a budget of Rs. 18 Kharba 60 Arba 30 Crores for the fiscal year 2081/82, with Finance Minister Barshaman Pun overseeing the allocation process.
Within this budget, Minister Pun has allocated Rs. 11.40 Kharba, which constitutes 61.31% of the total budget, for re-current expenditure management. Additionally, Rs. 3.52 Kharba, representing 18.95% of the budget, has been earmarked for capital expenditure, while Rs. 3.67 Kharba, accounting for 19.65% of the total allocation, has been allocated for financial management initiatives.
The government has established an objective of accruing Rs. 12 Kharba 60 Arba 30 Crores from different tax revenue sources to fulfill its expenditure requirements for FY 81/82. For the current fiscal year, the targeted revenue collection stands at Rs. 12 Kharba 48 Arba 62 Crores. Additionally, Finance Minister Barshaman Pun has outlined the objectives of raising Rs. 3 Kharba 30 Arba through internal borrowing, Rs. 2 Kharba 17 Arba 67 Crores from external borrowing, and Rs. 52 Arba 33 Crores from foreign grants.
Additionally, the government has set ambitious targets for economic growth and inflation control in the upcoming fiscal year. The economic growth target is set at 6%, with efforts directed towards fostering sustainable development and expansion across various sectors. Simultaneously, measures will be implemented to maintain inflation at a stable rate of 5.5%, ensuring price stability and safeguarding the purchasing power of consumers.
