Government Appoints Lila Devi Gadtaula as Acting Chief Secretary
The government has officially appointed Lila Devi Gadtaula as the acting Chief Secretary of Nepal. This decision was made during the inaugural meeting of the Council of Ministers, convened under the leadership of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Monday at the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Office in Singha Durbar.
In addition to the appointment of the acting Chief Secretary, the meeting designated Prithvi Subba Gurung, the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, as the government spokesperson. Minister Gurung addressed the media following the meeting, confirming the decisions taken during the session.
During the meeting, the Council of Ministers also resolved to release funds for the second and third installments to support families affected by the recent earthquake in Jajarkot. This decision underscores the government's commitment to providing assistance to those in need and ensuring a timely response to natural disasters.
