Government Begins Termination Process for 52 Builders Over Project Delays
The Road Division office in Charikot, under the Federal Road Supervision and Monitoring Office, Kathmandu, has begun the process of terminating contracts with 52 construction companies that have failed to complete their projects on time.
A notice issued today announced the commencement of contract termination proceedings for these builders who have not met the deadlines stipulated in their agreements. Each construction company has been given the opportunity to provide an explanation as to why their contracts should not be terminated. An official representative of each company must appear within 15 days of the notice's publication to submit a written explanation detailing the reasons behind the delays and the basis for the projected completion of the work.
The office has warned that any failure to respond adequately within the specified timeframe will lead to the continuation of the contract termination process and potential blacklisting.
