Government Forms Five Committees Within the Council of Ministers, Names Coordinators
The government has formed five committees within the Council of Ministers and named their coordinators. This decision was made during a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday.
According to government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, the committees are political, administration, economic infrastructure, legislation, and social.
- Political Committee: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakashman Singh, will serve as the coordinator.
- Economic Infrastructure Committee: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Bishnu Prasad Poudel, has been appointed as the coordinator.
- Administration Committee: Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung will coordinate this committee.
- Social Committee: Minister for Labor, Employment, and Social Security, Sarat Singh Bhandari, has been named the coordinator.
- Legislation Committee: Minister for Home Affairs, Ramesh Lekhak, will lead this committee.
Additionally, Bishnu Rimal has been appointed as the Chief Political Advisor to the Prime Minister, and Dr. Yubraj Khatiwada as the Economic Advisor.
Minister Gurung also announced that the Cabinet has approved the participation of Dr. Ganesh Prasad Pandey, Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, in the 46th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, to be held in New Delhi from July 21.
