Government Reassigns 21 Secretaries in Major Cabinet Reshuffle
The government has undertaken a significant reshuffle, transferring 21 secretaries through a Cabinet decision on Monday.
According to the Cabinet's decision, Ramprasad Ghimire has been appointed Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, while Madhukumar Marasini has been moved to the Office of the Vice President. Ghanshyam Upadhyay has been assigned to the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) with Rameshwor Dangal being transferred to the Ministry of Defense.
Dinesh Ghimire has taken on the role of Revenue Secretary, and Mukund Niraula has been sent to the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Security. Dilliram Sharma has been transferred to the Public Service Commission.
Radhika Aryal is now the Secretary at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, replacing Ramkrishna Subedi, who has been moved to the Public Procurement Monitoring Office. Kiranraj Sharma, formerly with the Ministry of Defense, has been reassigned to the Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission, and Bharat Subedi has been transferred to the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration.
Keshav Kumar Sharma has been sent to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, while Gopal Sigdel is now with the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation. Narayanprasad Duwadi has been assigned to the Office of the President, and Rajkumar Shrestha to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
Further changes include Madhusudhan Burlakoti moving to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Ramadhar Shah to the Nepal Trust, and Pramila Devi Bajracharya to the Ministry of Water Supply. Suresh Acharya has been reassigned to the Water and Energy Commission, Gokarna Mani Duwadi to the National Statistics Office, and Arjun Prasad Pokharel to the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation.
