Government Set to Launch Advanced E-Pass System for Singha Durbar Entry
The government is preparing to introduce a more advanced e-pass system for accessing Singha Durbar, as the current QR code-based online pass system has proven cumbersome. In a meeting led by Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, it was decided that the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA), in collaboration with the Ministries of Urban Development and Communications, will launch the new system within a month.
The decision follows complaints about the time-consuming process required to obtain passes under the current system. The new e-pass system aims to streamline the entry procedure and replace all temporary passes currently issued. The existing process, which requires individuals to request passes through an online portal, will be simplified to ensure quicker access for visitors.
