Himalayan Distillery up by massive 32%; Hydro power sector lost the most; signal for trend reversal observed; Weekly Wrap Up of the NEPSE index

Fri, May 10, 2019 4:16 PM on Stock Market, Weekly Analysis, Featured,

NEPSE index movement:

This week, the index opened at 1293.71 points and closed at 1291.96 points with a loss of 1.75 points (0.13%).

The candlestick chart of the weekly time-period is shown below;

The NEPSE index has formed bearish candle after 6th consecutive bullish candle in the weekly time period.

This week's candle is kind of Dozi with uniform distributed tails at both sides. On a weekly time period chart, we have seen the second dozi in the row.

This type of candlestick pattern gives an indication of a trend reversal. Further, the uniformly distributed long tail over both the side shows the presence of volatility in the market which could decrease next week as the total turnover is in the diminishing trend.

NEPSE Chart Analysis:

NEPSE commence this week with the long bearish candle however buyers hold the market and as a result, NEPSE closed with minimal loss of 1.75 points.

The decreasing volumes on the daily time period are supporting the trend reversal.
