Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane Inspects Kathmandu Police Circles, Calls for Reforms and Enhanced Citizen Services
Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane conducted inspections of three police circles in Kathmandu: Bouddha, Gaushala, and Maharajgunj.
During last night's monitoring, Home Minister Lamichhane gathered information from the chiefs of these police circles regarding their operational systems, manpower, document management, use of technology, and any challenges faced by the police offices.
The inspection also covered the nature and volume of complaints and reports received daily, investigation challenges, ongoing cases, the capacity of detention cells, and the current detainee numbers.
Home Minister Lamichhane directed the heads of all three police circles to promptly address citizens' complaints, adopt a victim-friendly approach, and take their responsibilities seriously. Additionally, the Home Minister's Secretariat instructed the Chief of the Maharajgunj Police Circle to submit a special security plan for the new bus park area within five days.
