House of Representatives Unanimously Passes Corruption Prevention (First Amendment) Bill, 2081

The House of Representatives has unanimously passed the Corruption Prevention (First Amendment) Bill, 2081.
Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, on behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, presented the bill for a decision in the parliamentary session. Addressing queries raised during discussions, Minister Lekhak emphasized that the bill aims to foster happiness, peace, and economic well-being among citizens while upholding fiscal discipline, morality, and ethics in society. He underscored that the amendment is crucial to eliminating corruption and strengthening governance.
Meanwhile, Minister for Labour, Employment, and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari, submitted a Report on the Mechanisms of New International Labour Standards (Conventions, Protocols, and Recommendations) adopted by the International Labour Conference to the House.
The next meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Tuesday.
