The pandemic COVID-19 seems to stay for a long period of time. During this time it is quite difficult to maintain physically active lifestyle. Furthermore, the COVID-19 can spread by touching surfaces an infected person has touched or through respiratory droplets when a person coughs or sneezes.
But we can still maintain our life active, even with social distancing guidelines. WHO recommends 150-300 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity per week and muscle strengthening involving major muscle groups 2 or more days in a week.
The best part is every active minute counts! Staying active is more important for both our physical and mental well-being.
Resistance training or strength training is an important part of any fitness routine. It can be done with free weights, weighing machine or with no equipment at all. Grab a towel and get ready to feel strong!
