Hyatt to Expand Presence in Nepal with the Upcoming Hyatt Regency Lumbini
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced plans to expand its presence in Nepal with the opening of Hyatt Regency Lumbini, in partnership with Veda Hospitality, part of the Golyan Group. This will be Hyatt's fourth branded property in Nepal and the second hotel developed with the Golyan Group.
Located near the UNESCO World Heritage site of Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, the hotel will offer convenient access to major attractions and the Gautam Buddha International Airport.
Scheduled to open by 2028, the property will feature 175 guestrooms, modern amenities, and event spaces, spread across 11 acres along the Dano River.
The hotel aims to blend modern design with Nepali cultural heritage and become a key player in Nepal’s tourism industry. Hyatt's expansion in Lumbini highlights the region’s cultural and spiritual significance, reinforcing the company’s growth strategy in Southwest Asia.
