ICRA Nepal Limited has reaffirmed its ratings for Nepal SBI Bank Limited, maintaining its strong credit standing. The issuer rating of [ICRANP-IR] AA has been reaffirmed, reflecting a high degree of safety regarding the timely servicing of financial obligations and very low credit risk. The subordinated debenture worth NPR 2,034 million has also had its rating reaffirmed at [ICRANP] LAA. This rating similarly indicates a high level of safety and low credit risk.
However, the rating assigned to the subordinated debenture of NPR 200 million has been withdrawn following the instrument's maturity.
The ratings provided by ICRA Nepal are a professional opinion on the general creditworthiness of the rated entity, rather than a specific endorsement of any particular debt instrument. It should be noted that a debenture rating does not serve as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold securities, nor does it comment on the price or valuation of the securities issued by the company.
The rating system allows for the addition of a plus (+) or minus (-) sign to the rating categories from AA through to C. This notation indicates the relative position within the rating categories. For instance, a rating of AA+ is one notch higher than AA, while a rating of AA- is one notch lower than AA.
