IMF Deputy Director Meets DPM Paudel, Highlights Economic Improvements in Nepal
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel held a courtesy meeting with Rupa Duttagupta, the International Monetary Fund (IMF)'s Deputy Director for the Asia Pacific Region, at the Ministry of Finance on Sunday.
During the meeting, Duttagupta remarked on the positive trajectory of Nepal's economy, acknowledging the nation's progress in various economic sectors. She commended recent reforms in investment facilitation laws, the execution of the revenue mobilization strategy, and the implementation of economic recommendations.
DPM Paudel affirmed the government's commitment to strengthening the economy through a strategic and planned approach. According to the Finance Minister's Secretariat, the discussions underscored the shared focus on sustaining economic growth and development.
