Inaugration of oil pipeline decreases price of petroleum products by Rs 2 per liter; New price of petrol and diesel/kerosene stands at Rs 107 and Rs 95 respectively

The Government of Nepal (GoN) has decreased the price of petroleum products effective from 12 PM today (Bhadra 24, 2076). The price of petrol, diesel and kerosene oil has been decreased by Rs 2 per liter. Therefore, now the per liter price of petrol stands at Rs 107 and price of diesel and kerosense oil stands at Rs 95 per liter.
The price decrement in petroleum product has been possible after the successful inauguration of the Petroleum Pipeline connecting Nepal and India. The plans to decrease price had been announced in the same program by Mr. Surendra Poudel, General Manager of NOC.
However, the price of liquid petroleum (LP) gas and airplane fuel hasn't bee changed.
