India to Support 10 New Community Development Projects in Nepal

India has committed Rs. 625 million for 10 new community development projects in Nepal, focusing on education, healthcare, and cultural preservation. An agreement was signed today between the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal’s Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, and relevant project implementation agencies.
These projects will be carried out at the local level, involving metropolitan and sub-metropolitan cities, municipalities, and rural municipalities. The initiative aims to enhance essential services and infrastructure for communities across Nepal.
India has been actively supporting Nepal’s development, with over 573 such projects initiated since 2003. Out of these, 495 have already been completed, benefiting various sectors such as education, health, roads, irrigation, and drinking water, while others remain under progress.
