Indian Ambassador Pledges Support for Investment at Nepal Investment Summit 2024

Ambassador Naveen Srivastava, India's envoy to Nepal, voiced strong support for increased investment between the two countries during the Third Nepal Investment Summit 2024 in Kathmandu.

Ambassador Srivastava highlighted the importance of boosting investment from India into Nepal, emphasizing the positive impact on trade and the potential for more economic opportunities. He also stressed the significance of Nepal's power exports to India in strengthening bilateral relations.

India reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing investment in Nepal, citing ongoing collaborations such as integrated check posts and energy trade.

In parallel, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Vice Chair for South, Central, and West Asia, Yingming Yang, spotlighted Nepal's investment potential across various sectors, pledging the ADB's support in exploring investment opportunities and facilitating private sector involvement.

The summit marked a shared commitment to fostering economic growth and cooperation between Nepal, India, and the ADB.
