Nepal Stock Exchange has selected AKS Information Technology and Services to performing the User Acceptance Testing of the Online Trading System.
NEPSE had opened bid for the IT companies to place their bids to perform the UAT on Jestha 11. Only two Indian IT companies (AKS Information Technology and Services and Capi Track Services) had placed their bids for the invitation.
AKS has agreed to perform the UAT for Rs 64 lakh which is less than the price mentioned by Capi Track Services. Capi Track had agreed to perform the testing for more than Rs 1.50 crore. Hence, the agreement for the UAT will be made with AKS Services.
The UAT is set to begin from Shrawan 1. However, NEPSE’s spokesperson, Mr Murahari Parajuli says that the testing does not have to wait till Shrawan 1 and can begin immediately if the agreement is made.
The UAT will be the first phase for the online trading system to be implemented in the Nepalese stock market. The testing is projected to be completed within 2 months. During the period, the appointed company will be focused on the security of the online system. The UAT will also test of the software works according to the specifications.
In case of any discrepancies, the software company will notify about it to NEPSE which will be amended. After the completion of UAT, the online trading system will be made available for the general public.
