Infrastructure Development Bank to come online within a month; Governor Dr. Nepal optimistic

In yet another development in banking fraternity in Nepal, Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Dr. Chiranjivi Nepal has informed amidst a program held to commemorate the 63rd Anniversary of NRB that the long-awaited Infrastructure Development Bank will be established within a month.

Talking about a different issue, Dr. Nepal also informed that out of 16 BFIs which were declared problematic by the central bank, 10 of them have either been dissolved or have been sent into merger/acquisition process with other institutions having sound financial health while 6 of them are in improvement state with regular supervision from the NRB.
