Karnali Province Collects Over Rs 21 Million in Tourism Revenue in FY 2023/24
The Karnali Province government has collected Rs 21.475 million in revenue from various tourism destinations in the fiscal year 2023/24. Notably, the revenue includes Rs 4.112 million from Rara National Park, Rs 9.090 million from Surkhet Provincial Martyrs Park, Rs 1.150 million from Kakrebihar, and Rs 7.114 million from Bulbule Park.
Dev Kumari Shahi, the Chief Administrative Officer of the Tourism Development Section under the Industry, Tourism, Forests, and Environment Ministry, noted that this total does not include revenue from Shey Phoksundo Lake and the Dailekh view tower located at Guranse Rural Municipality.
Additionally, there is no recorded revenue from several other significant sites, including Kupinde Lake of Salyan, Syarpu Pond of Rukum East, Gidi Pond, Chandannath Temple and Kanakasundari of Jumla, Tripurasundari of Dolpa, Pachal Waterfall of Kalikot, Panchakoshi, Dullu Palace, Gadhi Area of Dailekh, Limi Valley of Humla, Jajarkot Palace, Baraha Pond, and Jajura Pond of Surkhet.
