Kathmandu to Host Startup & Idea Fest, Showcasing Nepal’s Digital Innovation and Startups
The Startup & Idea Fest in Kathmandu, organized by Living with ICT, will take place on Kartik 29 and 30 at Anupam Foodland, showcasing over 100 digital startups from across Nepal. This pre-event for the upcoming ICT Awards 2024 will feature the top 12 startups from the competition, along with over 30 startups from all provinces.
Supported by The Squad of Changemakers and Engineers Blogs, the fest will include STEM camps, rocket science activities, games, and a robotics competition. The event aims to promote innovation, provide networking opportunities with potential investors, and offer mentoring and incubation sessions.
Kings College, MIT College, Cedar Gate, and F1Soft will contribute to boot camps, mentoring, and industry visits. Entry is free, with special provisions for students. The fest will recognize the top startups from each province at the ICT Awards grand finale on Poush 5.
With a jury panel of 17 and an advisory committee of 13 experts, the ICT Awards will also include categories such as the South Asia Startup ICT Award for international startups. Kantipur Television will air a series on startup pitching in the lead-up to the awards.
