Khaalisisi and Coca-Cola Celebrate Success of WOW Project on World Recycling Day

On the occasion of World Recycling Day, Khaalisisi and Coca-Cola Beverages Nepal announced the completion of one year of their WOW (Well-being Out of Waste) project. Launched in February 2024, the initiative has contributed to sustainable development, women's empowerment, and waste management in Nepal.

The project has successfully diverted 144,000 kg of PET bottles from landfills, repurposing them as useful materials. The Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Budhanilkantha plays a key role in sorting and recycling these bottles. With 80% female participation, the project also empowers women and informal waste collectors through training and economic opportunities. It aligns with the goals of a circular economy, responsible waste management, and building a cleaner, greener community.
