KMC assigns 11 places for operation of vegetable market

In a bid to minimise crowding at the Balkhu and Kalimati vegetable market, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has assigned 11 various places as vegetable sales outlet.
The places assigned for this purpose are Kalankichok, Bafalchok, Swoyambhuchok, Banasthalichok, Gongabuchok, Basundharachok, Gopikrishnahall Chok, Teenkune Chok, Lainchaur, Ratna Park and Koteshworchok.
Vegetables can be sold from these places until 8 am as alternative vegetable market throughout the lockdown period, according to KMC agriculture department chief, Hari Bahadur Bhandari. He said all kinds of fruits and vegetables would be available at these spots.
