Koshi Province to Host Investment Conference This Year: Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki
Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Hikmat Kumar Karki, announced plans to organize an investment conference in the province later this year. During an interaction program with industrialists, traders, and the business community in Biratnagar, marking 100 days since the formation of his government, Chief Minister Karki emphasized the importance of attracting both domestic and foreign investment, particularly from neighboring countries.
In a significant move to boost industrial development, Chief Minister Karki pledged to provide 650 bighas of land in Amduba, located in Barju Rural Municipality, Sunsari, for the establishment of industries, should the private sector show interest.
Karki expressed the government's commitment to collaborating with the private sector to increase tourism in Koshi Province. He highlighted plans to organize promotional events in two neighboring countries to draw more tourists to the region.
