KP Oli Appointed as Nepal's Prime Minister
President Ram Chandra Paudel has officially appointed CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli as the Prime Minister of Nepal.
The appointment, made on Sunday, adheres to Article 76(2) of the Constitution, following the dissolution of the government led by CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal. This dissolution prompted President Paudel to call for the formation of a new government by 5 PM on Sunday.
Oli secured the position after presenting his claim on Friday night, backed by 166 MPs. The swearing-in ceremony will take place on Monday at Sheetal Niwas.
