Landslide Disrupts Narayangadh-Butwal Road Section on East-West Highway

The Narayangadh-Butwal road section along the East-West Highway has been obstructed once again due to a landslide, causing significant disruption to transportation in the region.

The landslide occurred late Monday night in Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2, Daunne, located in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East). This marks yet another setback for the road, which had only recently come into partial operation on Tuesday evening following previous disruptions.

Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Bardaghat-Susta East, Bed Bahadur Poudel, confirmed that the road was blocked once more after heavy rains triggered the landslide. He noted that efforts are currently underway to clear the debris and restore traffic flow as quickly as possible.

The recurring landslides in this area have posed ongoing challenges for travelers and transporters using the vital East-West Highway. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and are working to ensure the road is reopened with minimal delay.
