Landslides Block Kanti Highway, Disrupting Transport Services

The Kanti Highway, connecting Kathmandu to Hetauda, has been blocked due to landslides in Pandhure and Chhabeni of Bagmati Rural Municipality-2, Lalitpur, on Saturday night.

Inspector Prakash Shah, spokesperson for the District Police Office, reported that traffic from Hetauda to Thigan was also halted due to a landslide at Siranchowk of Kanti Lokpath in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-8, Makwanpur.

Efforts are underway to clear the landslide debris in Pandhure and Chhabeni. Meanwhile, transport services are being rerouted to and from Hetauda along the Tribhuvan Highway via the Fakhel-Sisneri-Kulekhani-Matatirtha road, according to police.
