Lawmakers Propose Significant Cuts to Ministry of Youth and Sports Budget in Appropriation Bill

During the ongoing discussions on the Appropriation Bill, 2081 BS, in the House of Representatives (HoR), four separate proposals have been introduced to significantly reduce the expenditure allocated to the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

In the HoR meeting on Wednesday, lawmakers Pushpa Bahadur Shah, Dr. Amaresh Kumar Singh, and Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan each presented proposals aiming to reduce the Ministry's budget allocation to a nominal one rupee. Similarly, lawmaker Prem Suwal also put forward a proposal to cut back on the expenditure under the same heading in the Appropriation Bill, 2081.
