Lumbini Bikas Bank Joins NEPALPAY Card Scheme to Boost Nepal’s Domestic Card Ecosystem

Lumbini Bikas Bank Limited has partnered with Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL) to become a principal member of the National Card Switch (NPS-NCS) and the domestic card scheme, NEPALPAY. This partnership allows Lumbini Bikas Bank to issue and acquire NEPALPAY cards for its customers.

The NPS-NCS infrastructure aims to improve the domestic card transaction system by ensuring interoperability, reducing costs, and supporting data localization. The commercial rollout of NEPALPAY is expected to enhance Nepal's card ecosystem, with Lumbini Bikas Bank serving over 5 lakh customers nationwide.
