The Nepal Chamber of Commerce in Lumbini Province held a comprehensive discussion on the sustainable operation, investment, and potential of Gautam Buddha Airport in Bhairahawa. The event featured Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya, state ministers, and private sector representatives.

Acharya promised to coordinate with the central government to make the airport fully operational and strengthen the provincial government to promote internal coordination and investment. Deepak Malhotra, Senior Vice President of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce, highlighted Lumbini's potential for investment due to its natural resources.

Chamber Chairman Tank Prasad Pokhrel stressed the need for coordination to fully operate the airport and attract tourists while addressing issues like unnecessary check-in delays for Indian tourists.
