Madhya Bhotekoshi Jalavidyut Company Distributed IPO Shares to Locals, Employees and Members of EPF on Falgun 10

Madhya Bhotekoshi Jalavidyut Company Limited has distributed IPO shares directly to the Demat accounts of project-affected locals, employees of the company, and employees/ members of the "Employees Provident Fund" on 10th Falgun, 2079.

The issued capital of the company is Rs. 6 Arba. Out of the total issued units, the company issued 24% in the first and second phases of IPO issuance. 19.5% i.e. 1.17 Crore units of IPO shares were issued in the first phase from 28th Kartik till 14th Mangsir, 2075. The first phase of the issue was only for the members registered with the Employees Provident Fund (EPF). In the second phase of the issue which was open from 19th Mangsir till 26th Mangsir, 2075, the employees of the Promoter shareholding companies, employees of the lending institution, and employees of EPF were allocated with 27 Lakh units of IPO shares i.e. 4.5%. 

The allotment of the first and second phases of IPO issuance concluded on Poush 04, 2075.

After the allotment of the first and second phases of IPO issuance, the hydropower company issued 10% i.e. 60,00,000 unit IPO shares to the project-affected locals of Sindupalchowk District from Shrawan 5 to Shrawan 32, 2078. The IPO allotment for locals concluded on Ashwin 12, 2078.

Later, the company opened its IPO issue for 90,00,000 unit shares worth Rs. 90 crores i.e. 15% of the issued capital for the general public from Ashwin 20 to Ashwin 25, 2078. Note that the shares allocated for the general public have already been listed in NEPSE.

The hydropower company has also urged the shareholders to dematerialize their shares along with the date of the lock-in period i.e. on 11th Kartik, 2081 (27th October 2024).
