Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Expands QR Payment Services for Indian Tourists in Nepal

Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited (MLBL), in collaboration with PhonePe, continues to offer international QR payment services, enabling Indian citizens in Nepal to make instant, secure, and convenient payments at various commercial stores. Utilizing QR codes provided by the bank, Indian payment services like Bhim Pay, Paytm, and GooglePay facilitate seamless transactions across Nepal.

This initiative aims to enhance economic, social, and bilateral relations between Nepal and India while fostering economic and tourism development in Nepal. Previously, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank partnered with Nepal Clearing House (NCHL) to streamline international transaction payments between the two countries.

Additionally, the bank plans to collaborate with institutional customers to expedite and enhance service delivery, particularly targeting Indian tourists visiting Nepal. Committed to leveraging digital payment advancements, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank aims to establish itself as a leading provider of international QR payment solutions through its extensive branch and merchant network nationwide.
