Market closes for the week at 1166.21 points after today’s loss; Hotels sub-index loses the most at 3.66%

The market today was in the red zone for the whole day and ended up losing 0.28% or 3.29 points. The benchmark index closed for the week at 1166.21 points. The turnover amount stood at Rs.53.22 Crore achieved through trade of 1,660,406 units of shares traded through 7,083 transactions trading scrips of 170 listed companies in the process.
Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) dominated the trade today with turnover of Rs.9.21 Crore achieved through trade of 188,130 units of shares. The LTP of the stock stood at Rs.489 per share.
Joshi Hydropower Company (JOSHI) was today’s top gainer as it gained 8.33% or 5 points and closed at Rs.65 per share. Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company (HIDCL) was today’s top loser as it lost 7.58% or 11 points and closed at Rs.134 per share.
Sensitive Index lost 1.10 points and closed at 252.18 points while Float Index lost 0.19 points and closed at 86.41 points.
Hydropower, Manufacturing and Microfinance sectors were among gaining sub-indices today while rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points. Hotels sector lost the most at 3.66%.
