Market closes for the week at 1325.38 points after gaining double digits today; register 17th highest turnover till date

The market closes for the week after gaining double digit points on the final trading day. NEPSE Index gained 1.49% or 19.51 points today, closing at 1325.38 points. The turnover amount stood at Rs.1.96 Arba achieved through trade of 4,602,101 units of shares traded through 19,874 transactions trading scrips of 178 listed companies in the process. The average turnover for the month of January stood at Rs.1.22 Arba while that of the year 2019 was Rs.43.50 Crore.
Surya Life Insurance Company Limited (SLICL) dominated the trade today with turnover of Rs.11.36 Crore achieved through trade of 247,838 units of shares. The LTP of the life-insurance stock stood at Rs.468 per share.
Two companies hit the positive circuit today. Everest Insurance Company (EIC) gained 10% and closed at Rs.418 per share while SLICL gained 9.896% and closed at Rs.468 per share. Himalaya Urja Bikas Company (HURJA) was today’s top loser as it lost 5.35% or 6 points and closed at Rs.106 per share.
Sensitive Index gained 3.57 points and closed at 281.76 points while Float Index gained 1.48 points and closed at 94.05 points.
Only Trading sector ended in the red zone after losing 1.91% while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points today.
