Market gains 2.61 points; more than 3 Million promoter shares of Capital Merchant Bank and Finance traded

The market today reached a high of 1260 points and ended to close at 1257.68 points gaining 2.61 points or 0.21%. The market was at 1250.96 points at its lowest today. The turnover today stood at Rs.69.36 Crore which was achieved from trade of 5,549,621 units of shares through 6,830 transactions, trading scrips of 167 companies in the process.

The highest turnover was achieved by NIC Asia Bank (NICA) which was Rs.7.04 Crore. The LTP of the bank stands at Rs.440 per share. In terms of shares traded, Capital Merchant Bank and Finance Promoter Shares (CMBFLP) stood on top after trade of 3,085,455 units of shares making up more than 55% of the total shares traded today. The finance company’s LTP stood at Rs.22 per share.

Today’s top gainer was Salt Trading Corporation (STC) after it gained 30 points or 8.98% with its LTP standing at Rs.364 per share. Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (KMCDB) was today’s top loser after it lost 103 points or 7.43% with its LTP at Rs.1283 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 0.82 points and closed at 266.91 points while Float Index gained 0.44 points and closed at 91.42 points.

Non-Life Insurance, Manufacturing and Production, Others, Microfinance and Life Insurance sectors were among the losing sub-indices. Others sub-index being the top loser after losing 1.18%. The rest of the sub-indices gained today. Top gainer amongst them was Trading sub-index after it gained 4.58%.
