Market gains 5.52 points and closes at 1306.15 points; Life Insurance sector gains the most

The market today crossed 1316 points at its highest today; however, it closed with gain of 5.52 points or 0.42%. The benchmark index closed at 1306.15 points. The turnover amount stood at Rs.1.40 Arba achieved through trade of 3,739,397 units of share traded through 14,555 transactions trading scrips of 178 listed companies in the process.

Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) dominated the trade today with turnover of Rs.9.95 Crore achieved through trade of 341,189 units of shares. The LTP of the commercial bank stock stood at Rs.290 per share.

Shikhar Insurance Company Limited (SICL) was today’s top gainer after gaining 8% or 80 points to close at Rs.1080 per share. Guheswori Merchant Bank and Finance (GMFIL) was today’s top loser as it lost 4.34% or 6 points, closing at Rs.132 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 0.48 points and closed at 278.67 points while Float Index gained 0.37 points and closed at 92.61 points.

Banking, Trading, Hotels and Hydropower sectors were among losing sub-indices while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points.
