Market indicates positivity with decent gain and turnover; NEPSE Index closes at 1124.47 points

The market today reached 1128 points at its highest today. The benchmark index closed at 1124.47 points after gaining 0.78% or 8.73 points. The turnover amount stood at Rs.30.82 Crore achieved through trade of 990,274 units of shares traded through 4,951 transactions trading scrips of 169 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) posted the highest turnover at Rs.2.82 Crore with LTP standing at Rs.868 per share. Everest Insurance Company (EIC) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 57,205 units of shares. The LTP of the stock stood at Rs.215 per share.

Prabhu Insurance Limited (PRIN) was today’s top gainer as it gained 8.50% or 25 points and closed at Rs.319 per share. Barun Hydropower Company (BARUN) was today’s top loser as it lost 7.95% or 7 points and closed at Rs.81 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 1.52 points and closed at 247.86 points while Float Index gained 0.67 points and closed at 83.76 points.

All sub-indices ended in the green zone today after gaining points. Life Insurance sector gained the most at 2.81% or 142.91 points.
