Market opens for the week with double digit gain and high trade volume; two hydropower companies hit the positive circuit

The market today was in the green zone for the whole day and closed at high of 1363.97 points. The benchmark index opened for the week with double digit gain of 19.39 points or 1.44%. The turnover amount stood at Rs.1.97 Arba achieved through trade of 4,105,134 units of shares traded through 18,885 transactions trading scrips of 176 listed companies in the process.
Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) posted the highest turnover of Rs.18.04 Crore with LTP at Rs.1429 per share. Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 218,650 units of shares. The LTP of the stock stood at Rs.604 per share.
Two hydropower companies hit the positive circuit today. Radhi Bidyut Company (RADHI) gained 9.49% or 15 points while Ngadi Group Power Limited (NGPL) gained 9.24% or 11 points. Nabil Balance Fund-2 (NBF2) was today’s top loser as it lost 6.67% and closed at Rs.9.23 per unit.
Sensitive Index gained 1.58 points and closed at 285.82 points while Float Index gained 1.30 points and closed at 96.58 points.
Finance, Others and Mutual Funds were among losing sub-indices while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points. Non-Life Insurance gained massive 6.72% followed by Life Insurance with gain of 5.22%.
