Market opens for the week with double digit loss; Salt Trading Corporation takes a turn to hit the negative circuit

The market today was falling for most part of the day and lost 0.94% or 10.54 points. The benchmark index fell to 1110.08 points on the first trading day of the week. The turnover amount stood at Rs.28.05 Crore achieved through trade of 929,744 units of shares traded through 5,029 transactions trading scrips of 162 listed companies in the process.
NMB Bank Limited (NMB) dominated the trade today with turnover of Rs.2.11 Crore achieved through trade of 55,696 units of shares. The LTP of the stock stood at Rs.378 per share.
National Hydropower Company (NHPC) was today’s top gainer as it gained 4% or 2 points and closed at Rs.52 per share. Salt Trading Corporation (STC) hit the negative circuit today as it lost 9.96% or 151 points and closed at Rs.1365 per share.
Sensitive Index lost 2.03 points and closed at 244.86 points while Float Index lost 0.79 points and closed at 82.48 points.
All the sub-indices ended in the red zone today after losing points with Trading sector losing the most at 7.65%.
