Massive double digit gain enables NEPSE to close at 22 month high with second highest turnover; three companies hit the positive circuit

The market today gained double digit points and closed at 22 month high, after 25th April, 2018. The benchmark index gained massive 34.26 points or 2.51% and closed at 1398.24 points. The market also posted record breaking turnover of Rs.2.68 Arba, which is the second highest till date. The turnover was achieved through trade of 6,474,750 units of shares traded through 24,805 transactions trading scrips of 175 listed companies in the process.

*The previously posted news stated record-breaking but has been amended now. The highest turnover was seen last on July 26, 2016.

Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) posted the highest turnover at Rs.12.94 Crore with LTP of Rs.610 per share. Arun Kabeli Power Limited (AKPL) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 251,370 units of share. The LTP of the stock stood at Rs.139 per share.

Three companies hit the positive circuit today after gaining 10% each, they were Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Limited (PMHPL), Ngadi Group Power Limited (NGPL) and Rastriya Beema Company Limited (RBCL). Nepal Hydro Developers Limited (NHDL) was today’s top loser as it lost 5.63% or 8 points and closed at Rs.134 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 8.04 points and closed at 293.86 points while Float Index gained 2.50 points and closed at 99.08 points.

All the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points today. The top gainer was Trading sector after it gained 4.98% followed by Banking sector with gain of 3.58%.
