MetLife Nepal Donates NRs 2.5 Million to Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund Following Devastating Floods
In response to the devastating floods and landslides that affected various regions in Nepal from September 26 to 28, 2024, MetLife Nepal has donated NRs 2,500,000 to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
This contribution aims to support relief efforts for the communities impacted by the severe rainfall, which caused significant damage, displacing many families and leaving them in urgent need of assistance.
The eastern and southeastern areas, particularly around Kathmandu, were severely affected, with over 200 lives lost, many injured, and critical infrastructure destroyed.
Mr. Nirmal Kajee Shrestha, General Manager of MetLife Nepal, emphasized the company's commitment to helping those struggling after the disaster, hoping their donation would provide comfort and support in the recovery process.
MetLife, a leading global financial services company, has been operating in Nepal since 2001, offering life insurance and employee benefits.
