Minister Badri Prasad Pande Calls for Integrity Among Pashupatinath Area Development Trust Employees
Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pande, has called on the employees of the Pashupatinath Area Development Trust (PADT) to work with the utmost integrity. Addressing the PADT employees as the Chairman of the Trust, Minister Pande emphasized that any work carried out in this sacred area must align with cultural values and discipline.
"The work here differs from elsewhere. Morality and honesty must be reflected in performance. Transparency in any work is essential so that this religious site and institution always retain faith, trust, and honor," he reminded.
Minister Pande also highlighted that the activities conducted by PADT could enhance its spiritual image, noting that Pashupatinath is a center of faith for Vedic Hindu people worldwide.
Joint Secretary at the Ministry, Hemraj Tamang, emphasized the importance of preserving Pashupatinath Temple, which attracts tens of millions of devotees globally each year. He assured that the government is ready to cooperate with PADT in this regard.
PADT Member Secretary, Dr. Milan Kumar Thapa, shared the challenges faced by the Trust, including complaints arising from new initiatives and a shortage of human resources. He briefed the Minister on PADT's activities.
Additionally, PADT Spokesperson Rewati Raman Adhikari provided an introductory presentation of the Trust, highlighting its roles and responsibilities.
