Mountain Energy Nepal Limited Holds General Meeting, Approved Dividend and Rights Issue

The general meeting of Mountain Energy Nepal Limited for the financial year 2080/81 was held on January 12, 2025, under the chairmanship of Pradeep Jung Pandey. The meeting proposed a total dividend of 15.7895%, including 15% bonus shares and a 0.7895% cash dividend for tax purposes.

The company’s paid-up capital will rise to NPR 2.6 billion after the bonus share distribution. A proposal to issue rights shares worth NPR 1.33 billion for the 65 MW Dudh Khola hydropower project was also passed. The meeting approved the annual financial statements and elected Rachana Adhikari unopposed as a woman director.

Additionally, resolutions to amend the company’s articles of association and regulations were passed. The company currently generates electricity from the 42 MW Mistri Khola and 5 MW Tadikhola projects.
