Mountain Energy Nepal Records A Slight 1.63% Decline in Q2 Net Profit; EPS at Rs. 35.58

Mountain Energy Nepal Limited (MEN) witnessed a slight dip in net profit, reporting a 1.63% decline in the second quarter (Q2) of FY 2080/81. The profit went from Rs. 35.58 crores in the same quarter last year to Rs. 35 crores in the current quarter.

The company's revenue from power sales for this quarter amounted to Rs. 73.52 crores, showing a modest 1.18% decrease compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The revenue from the sale of electricity for the specified period is primarily generated by two projects, namely the Tadi Khola Project (5 MW) and the Mistri Khola Project (42 MW). In this timeframe, the Tadi Khola Project invoiced Rs. 86,606,726, while the Mistri Khola Project invoiced Rs. 657,610,049 to the Nepal Electricity Authority per the terms outlined in the PPA.

MEN's financial highlights include retained earnings at Rs. 1.52 Arba and share capital standing at Rs. 1.96 Arba. The annualized earnings per share (EPS) is reported at Rs. 35.58, and the net worth per share stands at Rs. 177.32.
