Muktinath Bikas Bank Appoints Umesh Kumar Acharya as Independent Director

Muktinath Bikas Bank Ltd. has appointed Mr. Umesh Kumar Acharya as an independent director per Section 14 (3) of the Bank and Financial Institutions Act 2073. Mr. Acharya, with over 20 years in the banking sector and 13 years as a CEO at various financial institutions including Kamana Bikas Bank, is recognized as a banking expert and policy consultant. He holds a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from Pokhara University.

The bank has launched Muktinath Simple Loan Schemes to support small businesses under the slogan "It is easy to stay in Nepal." To promote digital transactions, the bank offers services such as prepaid dollar cards, mobile banking, QR codes, online loan applications, online account opening, internet banking, and remittance deposit in accounts. Customers can access these services from home without visiting a bank branch, including miscall banking for savings and loan services.
