Muktinath Bikas Bank Marks 18th Anniversary with Significant Initiatives
Celebrating its 18th anniversary, Muktinath Bikas Bank organized nationwide programs, including blood donation drives at its central and regional offices, collecting 611 units of blood for local blood banks. The bank also hosted a national art competition, “Art for Earth, Combating Climate Change,” for students in grades 8 to 10. Julen Gurung won the top prize of Rs. 50,000, while regional winners received Rs. 10,000 each.
In recognition of outstanding agricultural journalism, the bank awarded the "Muktinath Excellence in Agricultural Journalism Award" to Sagar Pariyar (Rs. 35,000), Kaushila Kunwar (Rs. 25,000), and Madhav Prasad Aryal (Rs. 15,000), along with certificates.
The bank also undertook various social initiatives, including scholarships for students, library support, warm clothes and stationery distribution, environmental clean-up drives, financial literacy programs, and donations for cultural and religious activities.
At the central event in Lazimpat, Kathmandu, Chairperson Bharat Raj Dhakal inaugurated the program, which included the launch of the bank’s anthem and the recognition of 41 employees completing 10 years of service. Board members, shareholders, customers, and staff attended the event.
