MUSTANG Nostalgia: A Two-Decade Odyssey Photo Exhibition to Open in Kathmandu

The Gehendra Dhimal Foundation, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy Kathmandu, is hosting MUSTANG Nostalgia: A Two-Decade Odyssey, a panoramic photo exhibition by renowned artist Kishor Kayastha. Featuring 30 panoramic photographs, the exhibition captures Mustang's beauty, cultural heritage, and transformation over two decades.

The event also highlights restoration efforts by the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP), which has supported 28 cultural preservation projects in Nepal, including monasteries and chortens in Mustang, with over $4.54 million in funding.

The exhibition aims to inspire awareness about Mustang’s challenges, including climate change, while celebrating its enduring traditions. Public viewings will run from January 7 to January 14, 2025, at the Nepal Art Council in Kathmandu, with private viewings available by invitation.
