Nabil Bank Conducts Awareness Program on Digital Banking for Nepali Migrant Workers in Qatar

Nabil Bank organized an awareness program on secure digital banking for Nepali migrant workers in Qatar, titled ‘Ghar Ta Nepal’, at the Radisson Blu Hotel. Over a hundred participants attended the event and coordinated with Nabil Investment Banking and Nabil Stock Dealer Limited. The program covered topics like remittance, savings, investments, loans, and financial literacy. A special segment introduced the ‘Nabil Skilled Migrant Entrepreneurship Loan’ to support returning workers in starting businesses in Nepal.

Nepali Ambassador to Qatar, Ramesh Chandra Paudel, emphasized using formal remittance channels to safeguard money and boost Nepal’s economy. CEO Gyanendra Prasad Dhungana highlighted the crucial role of Nepali workers in Qatar and discussed online banking, loans, and investment options available through Nabil Bank. Deputy GM Adarsha Bazgain reaffirmed Nabil Bank’s commitment to empowering the Nepalese diaspora.

The event also featured NRN Association Qatar Chairman Ramesh Bhatta, who stressed financial awareness among migrants. Nabil Bank showcased its Nabil School of Social Entrepreneurship (NSSE), which offers training and funding for aspiring entrepreneurs in Nepal. Mahendra Prasad Chamlagai, President of Nepal Business Association, Qatar, played a key role in coordinating the event.
